Masala Gobhi Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 head Cauliflower (cut into small pieces app. 1 inch)/li>
  • 3 Potatoes (peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks)
  • 1 Table Spoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tea Spoon Cumin (Jeera) Seeds
  • 2 Tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Tea Spoon Salt
  • 1 Tea Spoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tea Spoon Curry Powder

How to make Aloo Gobi Masala (with Microwave)

  1. Cook the cauliflower in a microwave on high for 3 minutes.
  2. Then cook the potatoes in a microwave on high for 4 minutes./li>
  3. In a large skillet heat the olive oil and then add the cumin seeds.
  4. When the cumin turns to golden brown add the onions and stir for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the tomatoes and stir for another 4 minutes.
  6. Now add the cauliflower and potatoes and mix thoroughly.
  7. Sprinkle curry powder, Turmeric powder and salt and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with chapatti or naan.

How to make Aloo Gobi Masala (without Microwave)

  1. Heat Olive Oil In large frying pan and then add the cumin seeds.
  2. When the cumin turns to golden brown add the onions and stir for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the tomatoes and stir for another 4 minutes.
  4. Now add the cauliflower and potatoes and mix thoroughly.
  5. Sprinkle curry powder, Turmeric powder and salt and cook for another 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with chapatti or naan.
