Heart Cookies Recipe


  • Flour - 2 cup
  • Desiccated coconut - 1 cup
  • Castor sugar - ½ cup
  • White Butter - ½ cup
  • Baking powder - ¼ TeaSpoon
  • Mixed Fruit jam - 5 TableSpoon

Preparation Method

    Shelf life : 2 weeks

  1. Grease a flat baking tray.
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder.
  3. Mix coconut with the flour.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar properly.
  5. Add the flour mixture into the butter and knead it into dough.
  6. Refrigerate for 10 minutes
  7. Roll the dough into ½ inch thick rounds and cut in heart shapes with the heart shape cutter.
  8. Take half of the cookies and make a hole in the middle with the help of small bottle cap.
  9. Prick all the cookies with a fork to avoid puffing during baking. Glaze all the cookies with milk or egg white.
  10. Bake the biscuits in pre heated oven at 350°F for 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
  11. Spread the jam on plain cookies when still warm and place the biscuits with the hole on the top.
  12. Let them cool and store in an airtight container.
