Potato Sago Khichidi Recipe

Ingredients

  • Boiled potatoes – 2
  • Sago (soaked for 2 hours) – ½ cup
  • Salt – to taste
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ TeaSpoon
  • Cumin seeds – ¼ TeaSpoon
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinches
  • Ginger, grated – 2" piece
  • Coriander powder – ¼ TeaSpoon
  • Garam Masala – 1 TeaSpoon
  • Coriander leaves, chopped – 2 TableSpoon
  • Oil – 1 TeaSpoon
  • Green chili, finely chopped – 2 TeaSpoon

Preparation Method

  1. Peel and finely chop the potatoes and keep aside.Drain the water from the sago and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  3. Add the ginger and all the spices and green chilies and cook on low flame for a minute.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  5. Cook for 2 minutes and it is ready to be packed.
