Bhindi Ki Bhaji Recipe


  • 1 Pound Lady Finger (Bhindi)
  • 2 Medium Onions, Well Chopped
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 Tea Spoon Coriander (Dhania) Paste or Powder
  • 1/8 Tea Spoon Cumin (Jeera)
  • 3 Large Tomatoes
  • 2 Tea Spoon Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Well Chopped Cilantro (Hara Dhania)

Preparation Method

  1. Cut the tip and the very bottom from the Lady Finger (Bhindi) just to clean it, but do not slice.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Add all ingredients except Lady Finger (Bhindi), tomato and cilantro. Cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add Lady Finger (Bhindi), then cook for 6 to 8 minutes. Garnish with tomato and cilantro.
  5. Serve the bhindi bhaji with rice, naan or pita bread.
